Hey friend, you’re enough.

I know it doesn’t feel like it.

I know you struggle to feel like enough.

I know you struggle in your activities and duties to feel like enough.

I know you struggle in your weight and primping to look like enough.

I know you struggle to keep your house clean, on top of your work, meals prepared, and family taken care of to seem like enough.

But I also know a little voice tries to tell you all of that, all of this effort, is still not enough.

And therefore, you’re not enough.

Can I tell you something?  It’s a lie.  A straight up lie.

Can I tell you something else?  You are enough.

You’re enough.

Just as you are.  You’re enough.

Your messy house or hair doesn’t make a difference.  You’re enough.

Your broken relationships or spirit doesn’t matter.  You’re enough.

Your weight or your worries don’t determine your worth.  You’re enough.

Your sadness or sorrows don’t define you.  You’re enough.

Your financial or family problems don’t dictate your value.  You’re enough.

Today, just as you are.  You’re enough.

And do you know why?  Because you are HIS.

God created you. YOU.  He planned you.  He wanted you.  He gave you life and value simply because you are His creation.

I love the Message translation of Roman 12:3, “The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what He does for us, not by what we are and what we do for Him.”

We can only place our value in who He is and what He does for us.  That’s it.  Not us.  Of course we have moral and spiritual values to keep in our lives but even they don’t determine our value.  He does.  His grace does.  Who He is is more than enough.  And so we are enough too.

Today I pray that you will capture the power of these words.  I pray they will seep into your very soul and spirit. I pray when the lies come to you to tell you that you have no worth or value unless you do/are XYZ, I pray that you will know to the depth of your heart that you are ENOUGH.  You are HIS.  I tell you today that you have a purpose, a plan, a calling, a worth, a value, and you are LOVED beyond all measure simply because you are His child.  Dig your heels, your heart and your spirit deep into that today.

You’re enough.  You’re His.
